PhD in Law and attorney, Ivan Horodyskyy has over 10 years of experience in legal practice and teaching.
In 2009, he earned his Master’s degree in International Law from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and in 2014, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic "The International Legal Status of Foreign Military Bases."
From 2013 to 2015, Mr. Horodyskyy served as a legal advisor to the Lviv IT Cluster. In 2014, he founded the Law School of the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU), where he acted as Director from 2014 to 2020, overseeing a range of successful educational projects and programs.
Since 2017, Ivan Horodyskyy has been the Managing Partner at Dexis Partners Law Firm, leading the Privacy and Data Protection practice. His expertise covers legal support for IT projects, cross-border dispute resolution, and international corporate structuring. He has got Information Privacy Professional/Europe certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Mr. Horodyskyy is also the Director and Board Member of the Dnistrianskyi Centre, an analytical and advocacy platform he co-founded in 2020. The Centre focuses on researching critical societal issues, developing solutions, and creating long-term strategies for implementation.
A member of the Ukrainian Bar Association since 2014, Ivan Horodyskyy served on the UBA Lviv Branch Council from 2015 to 2018, as Secretary of the UBA Audit Commission from 2017 to 2019, and as Chair of the UBA Lviv Branch from 2019 to 2021. Since 2021, he has been a Board Member of the UBA, and in 2023, he became Vice President of the Association. His focus within the UBA includes the development of Sections and Branches, as well as improving the quality of legal education.
Additionally, Ivan Horodyskyy is a member of the Ukrainian Association of International Law and the International Association for Artificial Intelligence and Law. Alongside his legal practice, he is actively involved in education and research. He is the author and co-author of over 40 publications on legal topics.
