Election of the Vice President, Distribution of Responsibilities, and Other Matters: The First Meeting of the Newly Elected Board
Today, the newly appointed leadership of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) commenced its work with the first meeting of the Board.
At the beginning of the meeting, the newly elected President of the Association, Mykola Stetsenko, welcomed the Board members and expressed his best wishes for future collaboration and the achievement of common goals.
The first item on the agenda was the election of the second Vice President. The President nominated Ivan Horodyskyi, and the Board unanimously supported his candidacy. Ivan expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and emphasized the significant responsibility that comes with this role. He also outlined his key areas of focus, including international and regional development, as well as improving the quality of legal education.
Following this, the Board members discussed the coordination of various activities of the Association.
During the meeting, the Executive Director of the UBA, Inna Liniova, presented the Association's current projects. The Chief Operating Officer, Viktoria Krasnova, provided an overview of the Secretariat's organizational structure, budget, and partners of the Association. She also announced preparations for the upcoming elections in the regional branches and committees.
The Board members decided to terminate the powers of the Chair of the Tax and Customs Law Committee, Tetiana Lysovets, and the Head of the UBA's Vinnytsia Regional Branch, Iryna Bryliant, due to their election to the Board. Their duties were delegated to their deputies.
The final matter discussed at the meeting was the delegation of Vasyl Andrusyak as the representative of the NGO "Ukrainian Bar Association" to participate in the assembly of representatives from public associations to appoint members of the Public Integrity Council.
The Association encourages all its members to demonstrate leadership and actively participate in all its areas of activity. Together, the Association's voice grows stronger on the path to victory!
