Meet the members of the Supervisory Board of the UBA Human Rights Institute: Stephen Rothstein
We continue to introduce you to the members of the Supervisory Board of the UBA Human Rights Institute. Each of them makes a significant contribution to advancing human rights in Ukraine and supports the Association’s mission to strengthen the rule of law and uphold democratic values.
Stephen Rothstein, Former President of the Canadian Bar Association:

Stephen Rotstein is currently a Vice-Chair at Tribunals Ontario and an Adjudicator for the Law Society Tribunal of Ontario. Previously, Stephen was the Director, Global and Domestic Affairs at the Ontario Securities Commission and held the role of Vice-President, Policy & Regulatory Affairs & General Counsel at FP Canada.
Stephen has extensive voluntary leadership experience including being an elected Bencher (Board Member) of the Law Society of Ontario, a Member of the Federal Judicial Advisory Committee, a Board Member of the Real Estate Council of Ontario and previously served as President of the Canadian Bar Association.
Stephen holds a BA in political science and history from Western University and an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. He is a member of the Bar in Ontario and New York State and holds the Certified In-House Counsel – Canada certification (CIC.C).
