Practical Workshop Held: Artificial Intelligence for In-House Counsel
On May 21, 2025, Kyiv hosted a workshop titled "In-House Counsel and AI: Working Effectively, Securely, and with Automation," organized by the In-House Counsel Section of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA).
The event brought together corporate lawyers, heads of legal departments, and in-house legal teams from across Ukraine, all eager to not only explore current technological challenges but also gain hands-on experience with practical AI tools relevant to the legal profession.
The workshop was moderated by Viktoriia Ohryza, Chair of the UBA In-House Counsel Section.
The keynote speaker was Veronika Myltseva, member of the UBA Committee on IT, Media, and Data Protection, PhD, MBA, and a legal expert with over 10 years of experience in international structuring and legal support for IT projects. She shared her insights into the legal implementation of AI solutions, outlined the data privacy risks, and reviewed current best practices for adopting internal AI policies within companies.
Participants gained valuable insights into
- How AI tools can optimize the work of legal departments;
- Practical applications of AI in compliance, legal analytics, document drafting, and presentations;
- Effective approaches to prompt engineering;
- Using AI for litigation analytics and drafting procedural documents;
- Managing risks and protecting confidential data.
The event was held in an interactive format, featuring lively audience engagement, real-world case studies, Q&A sessions, and practical discussions.
