Viktoriia Krasnova in an interview talked about the new sections on the UBA website — ‘Career’ and ‘Education’

At the end of August this year, the Ukrainian Bar Association took an important step in the development of the legal industry by launching new sections on its website ‘Career’ and ‘Education’. Viktoriia Krasnova, Executive Director of the UBA, in an interview with Yurydychna Gazeta, detailed the goals of these innovations and how lawyers — both members and non-members of the Association — can take advantage of these educational and career opportunities.

What are the main goals and advantages of the new ‘Career’ section?

We wanted to simplify the job search process for Ukrainian lawyers and help legal firms and organizations find talented candidates. This helps support and develop our professional community.

There are plans to involve international partners in filling the section with internships and vacancies. We invite all job seekers to post their CVs.

How can users participate in this section and post their resumes or vacancies?

Users only need to register on our website. After registration, they gain access to a personal account where they can easily post their resumes or vacancies. This process is as convenient and efficient as possible.

What can the UBA say about the ‘Education’ section and how does it contribute to raising the professional level of Ukrainian lawyers?

We provide access to up-to-date knowledge, expand professional skills, and increase qualifications. The section allows lawyers to engage in self-education at any convenient time and place, using various video lectures, cases, assignments, and tests. These tools make learning more accessible and flexible.

Can non-members of the UBA also enjoy these benefits or are they provided only for UBA members?

Both sections — ‘Career’ and ‘Education’ — are open to all users interested in the legal field, regardless of UBA membership. We want to make our resources as accessible and useful as possible for all lawyers and individuals interested in the legal sphere.

What other activities has the UBA implemented to support Ukrainian lawyers, especially in the conditions of the conflict in Ukraine?

With the start of the full-scale war by Russia against Ukraine, the UBA initiated a series of initiatives aimed at supporting Ukrainian lawyers affected by the conflict. Together with the UK Law Society, we implemented a program to provide housing and visa support to Ukrainian lawyers who wanted to go to the United Kingdom.

In addition, the UBA organized a series of training sessions and other events aimed at supporting the adaptation of Ukrainian lawyers, such as English language classes and explanations regarding qualification exams in other countries.

How can interested individuals join the new ‘Career’ and ‘Education’ sections on your website?

It's very simple. Just register on our website at this link: https://uba.ua/eng/user/profile. We are always open to collaboration and look forward to new users.
