The Ukrainian Bar Association brings to your attention the latest issue of IBA Global Insight, the flagship magazine from the International Bar Association (IBA), in which two publications focus on the topic of punishing the Russian leadership for the crime of aggression and war crimes in Ukraine.

In this column, Mr. Kostin asserts the importance of holding Russian leaders accountable for the crime of aggression against Ukraine via a special ad hoc tribunal.
“Comment and analysis: Why the world needs a tribunal to try the Russian leadership for the crime of aggression”. In this article, Andrii Smyrnov, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Anton Korynevych, Ambassador-at-large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and Mark Ellis, Executive Director of the IBA, share their views on why it is necessary to create a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine, which formats could be of this tribunal and what needs to be changed in the international legal system to create an effective mechanism of punishment for the crime of aggression.
