The Ukrainian Bar Association announces a competition for the selection of a contractor to provide proofreading and editing services for a book that contains legal terminology, which has already been translated from English to Ukrainian.

The selected contractor will perform the following tasks:

• Proofreading – correcting grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors.
• Editing style – ensuring the text’s logical structure and conformity with the norms of the Ukrainian language.
• Terminology verification – aligning the terminology with the legal specifics of the book.
• Title adaptation – creating a Ukrainian title that reflects the content, style, and target audience of the book.

Scope of work:

• 93,907 words
• 725,715 characters (with spaces)
• 630,615 characters (without spaces)

Contractor selection criteria:

• Relevant education
• Experience in editing and proofreading texts, including legal ones (at least 3 years)
• High proficiency in both Ukrainian and English
• Experience working with legal terminology
• Realistic pricing and project timelines

• Individual entrepreneurs (FOP)

• Price proposal for the total text volume (93,907 words or 725,715 characters)
• Resume or company information in any format
• Samples of previous work or links to them
• Recommendation letters from previous clients
• A copy of the extract from the Unified State Register (for legal entities/FOP)
• Documents confirming the authority of the official (for legal entities)
