For reference. The Global Accountability Network is a network of prosecutors, lawyers, academics, other experts, and students who collect and analyze open-source information about international crimes. GAN's focus is on events in Syria, Yemen, Venezuela, China, and now Ukraine. The Association of Lawyers of Ukraine supports GAN's efforts to collect information about crimes committed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, to widely disseminate such information to the world community, and provide expert and volunteer assistance for GAN UKTF's investigative activities.
The Ukraine Task Force of The Global Accountability Network (GAN UTF) published two editions of the Report on war crimes, crimes against humanity and aggression committed by the Russian Federation (RF) against Ukraine. The report was prepared with the assistance of the Association of Lawyers of Ukraine. Among other things, the document describes the international legal mechanisms for bringing the Russian Federation to justice, identifies the persons responsible for the crimes committed, and forms examples of indictments against the highest military and political leadership of the Russian Federation. The report calls on the international community to respond to violations of international law by using existing accountability mechanisms. You can familiarize yourself with the document by following the link. The first edition of the report is available at the link.
