The Ukrainian Bar Association presents the Overview of the UBA’s Activities in 2023.

The past year marked a period of full resumption of the Association’s work and the renewal of its leadership. Committees gradually resumed their work, and key events organized by the UBA once again became platforms for fruitful discussions and networking opportunities.

In 2023, the Ukrainian Bar Association was active both domestically, serving as an advisory voice in the development and implementation of crucial reforms, and internationally, advocating for the establishment of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine and the accountability of perpetrators of international crimes.

This Overview will acquaint you not only with the development of traditional areas of UBA’s activity but also with its new achievements and accomplishments, such as the Code of Ethics for Legal Business and the trial monitoring in war crimes cases. You will also learn how the Association cared for those in need during the full-scale war and supported lawyers defending us on the front lines.

The Ukrainian Bar Association expresses gratitude to its community members for their contribution and active participation in the life of the UBA. The Association extends its thanks to its national and international partners, the International Bar Association (IBA), the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), the USAID Justice for All Program, the USAID Human Rights in Action Project, the EU Project "Pravo-Justice," the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union for their assistance and support over the past year.
