Project Results "Reform of the Classificatory and Development of Standards for the Legal Profession"

The Ukrainian Bar Association invites interested parties to the presentation of the project results, "Supporting the Reform of the Classificatory and Developing Standards for the Legal Profession" (hereinafter referred to as the Project), implemented by the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) with the support of the USAID Justice for All Program.
- Date: August 30th, 15:00 – 17:00 Kyiv time
Format: Offline (Hyatt Regency, London Hall, 5 Alla Tarasova St., Kyiv) and Online (Zoom)
Event Language: Ukrainian | English (simultaneous translation will be provided)
Objectives:
- Overview of a framework for the Project, activities, and initiatives undertaken during the project, and a summary of the key achievements, and challenges.
- Present the developed proposals for reforming the National Classificatory of Occupations pertaining to the legal profession, including detailed explanations of the proposed amendments to the existing Classificatory.
- Present draft Professional Standards for Judges, Prosecutors, and Legal Advisors and collect feedback.
- Discuss the next steps necessary for comprehensive reform of the legal profession in Ukraine.
Participants: representatives of the National Qualifications Agency, Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, judicial governance and judicial self-governance bodies, judges, prosecutors, representatives of higher education institutions, the legal profession, NGOs, and international technical assistance projects.
