The Sports Law Committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) invites you to participate in an online event titled: "Legal Protection of Football Players: How Contracts, Transfers, and Trade Unions Work", which will take place on May 26, 2025.

Key Topics for Discussion:

1. Protection through Trade Unions

• What rights can a players’ union defend?
• How can a player join a union and access legal support?

2. Trade Union Practice and Case Studies

• What cases have been successfully resolved by the union?
• How does the union respond to mass violations (e.g., dismissals, unpaid wages)?
• The union’s role in negotiations with federations and clubs.

3. Contracts

• What should a player know before signing their first professional contract?
• How to avoid exploitative or unfair terms in a football contract?
• Is it possible to unilaterally terminate a contract due to unpaid wages?
