Transitional Justice in the Context of International Armed Conflicts and Colonisation: Path for Ukraine
More information
Since the onset of the international armed conflict with the Russian Federation in 2014, Ukraine has faced the challenge of establishing a comprehensive transitional justice framework. This framework is crucial for ensuring accountability, reparations, memorialization, and guarantees of non-recurrence.
This event, which is organized by The Human Rights Institute of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBAHRI), will explore how transitional justice principles can be adapted to Ukraine's unique context, addressing both historical and current challenges, including colonization and the legacies of the Soviet past.
