Staying Ahead of the Game | Let’s Talk About Counterparty Due Diligence and Protective Mechanisms
More information
The Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) Committee on International Law invites you to join us for a virtual coffee and an engaging discussion on: “Staying Ahead of the Game | Let’s Talk About Counterparty Due Diligence and Protective Mechanisms.”
Our Committee is a well-established platform for cross-border legal networking. We warmly welcome business representatives and legal professionals to informal online gatherings over a cup of coffee to exchange views and explore solutions to today’s cross-border legal challenges.
In times of war and economic volatility, business security becomes a top priority.
Insufficient counterparty screening, poorly drafted contracts, lack of evidence, or the absence of conflict strategies can lead to critical consequences.
During this virtual coffee session, we’ll discuss how to reduce risks when working with Ukrainian and foreign partners:
- Due Diligence 2.0: How and where to effectively verify Ukrainian and international counterparties?
- The Contract as a Shield: How to prepare for the unpredictable and protect yourself contractually?
- Business vs. Legal Thinking: How to align legal caution with entrepreneurial boldness?
- If You Want Peace, Prepare for War: How to build a strong evidentiary base during cooperation?
- Early Warning Signs: Red flags that may signal an upcoming dispute.
- When the Partnership Falters: Legal and communication tools to respond effectively
