Successful Launch of the Ukrainian Global Law Talks Series
The Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) successfully hosted the first event in the Ukrainian Global Law Talks series – a unique platform that connects Ukrainian legal professionals with leaders of the international legal community.
The event featured Mark Ellis, Executive Director of the International Bar Association (IBA), who shared his insights on key challenges in international law, including:
- Russia's violations of international law principles in its war against Ukraine;
- Prospects for the establishment of a Special Tribunal for the prosecution of the crime of aggression;
- The importance of defense in war crimes cases;
- The experience of other countries in ensuring transitional justice.
The event was moderated by Mykola Stetsenko, President of the UBA, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in light of the global challenges facing Ukraine.
