Irina Paliashvili appointed Acting President of USUBC
The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) has appointed Irina Paliashvili as the Acting President of USUBC. Ms. Paliashvili is a member of the USUBC Executive Committee and Chair of the USUBC Legal Committee, Managing Partner at Ukrainian Legal Group, and a member of the Ukrainian Bar Association. She officially began her duties as the Acting President of USUBC today, July 1.
The USUBC Executive Committee made this decision following the recent passing of Morgan Williams, the Council's President and CEO. Irina Paliashvili will serve in this role until the end of 2024.
USUBC emphasizes that Ms. Paliashvili has been an integral part of the Council's governance team, having been consistently reelected to the Executive Committee by USUBC members for more than 20 years. She also serves as Chair of the USUBC Legal Committee, supporting legal and judicial reforms, advocating for the rule of law, and promoting private sector development.
Most recently, Ms. Paliashvili initiated the launch of the USUBC Legal Series webinars, offering members exclusive insights into the most pressing legal issues related to doing business in Ukraine. One of the webinars was co-organized by the UBA.
Irina Paliashvili is also known for her active volunteering and pro-bono work, focusing on an Accountability and Justice agenda, as well as promoting Ukrainian culture and art.
