Together for the Armed Forces of Ukraine: UBA raises over UAH 150,000 at charity auction
On 20 June, during the Presidential Reception held as part of the XII Western Ukrainian Legal Forum of the UBA in Lviv, a charity auction took place. The goal of the event was to raise funds to support the 8th Regiment of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where fellow lawyer, attorney, and former Head of the UBA Donetsk Region Branch (2019–2020), Oleksandr Kadiievskyi, is currently serving.
The unit is in urgent need of modern equipment to counter enemy FPV drones and tools to ensure the effective evacuation of the wounded. In particular, the fundraising aimed to provide:
-
a “Hrets 5ML” vehicle-mounted electronic warfare system to jam FPV drone signals;
-
a “Chuyka 3.0” reconnaissance system for intercepting video transmissions;
-
Starlink Mini — an autonomous internet solution that remains operational even in signal-jammed vehicles.
During the auction, the lots were presented by UBA Vice President Ivan Horodyskyi, UBA President Mykola Stetsenko, and Serhii Matviiv, managing partner at Matviiv & Partners Law Firm. Thanks to the support of legal professionals who donated and purchased auction items, we succeeded in raising UAH 152,000.
The Ukrainian Bar Association sincerely thanks everyone who took part. Together, we not only support our comrades on the front line, but also show that the strength of the law lies in solidarity.
