Kherson region lawyers need support suffering from the consequences of the demolition of the Kakhovka Dam
Dear colleagues!
Thousands of residents of the Kherson region are now suffering from the consequences of the demolition of the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, another Russian war crime that has turned into the largest man-made disaster of the last decade, and possibly several decades, for Ukraine and the whole of Europe.
Of course, this tragedy also affected the legal community of Kherson region. Many local lawyers lost their homes, property, and jobs and were forced to evacuate. They are in a difficult situation and need help and support.
In light of this, the Ukrainian Bar Association and the Kherson Regional Bar Council are reaching out to the global legal community, humbly seeking your support in providing financial aid to our fellow Ukrainian lawyers who have suffered greatly as a result of this Russia-committed war crime. Your generous contributions will go directly towards providing much-needed relief to those who have lost everything in this calamity.
It is crucial to recognize that by aiding our colleagues who have been impacted by this devastating event, we not only alleviate their immediate financial burdens but also offer them solace and the reassurance that they are not alone in their struggles. The solidarity and support of the global legal community are invaluable in times of such immense adversity.
