Support the law students representing Ukraine at the Jessup International Law Moot Court!
Ukrainian law students participating in this year's Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court need assistance with funding their trip to the international rounds of this prestigious event.
Two student teams — from the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy and Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University — will represent Ukraine at the 66th edition of the competition, which will take place in Washington, D.C., in March-April 2025.
"We have a superpower. We do everything other Jessup teams do — research, draft, plead. But we do this during the full-scale war — without electricity, internet, not knowing out coaches in person, in the shelters, without heating," the participants of the competition explain.
The total budget for both teams’ trip is almost $45,500 and covers visa fees, travel (trains, flights), accommodation, per diem, insurance. More details about the budget can be found here.
How to support the teams? Here are several ways:
- a company donation to the NGO representing the competitors in Ukraine;
- a personal donation via Monobank (link) or PayPal (link or mashastlbv@gmail.com);
- direct payment for a certain category of expenses.
The teams are open to considering other forms of financial support. If you’d like to discuss alternatives, please contact them at jessup.ua@gmail.com.
