Oleksandr Ilkov has been appointed to the post of General Director of the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
Oleksandr Ilkov is one of the best Ukrainian practitioners in the field of government and public relations, regulation and risk management. For more than 10 years, he worked in management positions in state authorities, including in the Administration of the President of Ukraine, where in different years he was responsible for communication with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, representing the interests of the President of Ukraine in courts. Mr. Ilkov was a member of the Higher Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, and from 2013 to 2019 — a member of the Ukrainian Bar Association’s Board.
Prior to his appointment, Oleksandr Ilkov was a partner at Pragma Consulting Group, that is the UBA GR Committee’s partner, and advised foreign investors and leading national companies on the development and implementation of comprehensive GR&PA strategies, coordinated the analysis and monitoring of regulatory and political processes, communication in crisis situations, legislation development and advocacy.
In the first days of March 2022, Oleksandr voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and since December 2022 he was in military service in the legal service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Ilkov has the title "Honored Lawyer of Ukraine". He has been recommended by the international directories The Legal 500 EMEA and Best Lawyers, recognized as a lawyer of the year 2022 in the field of regulatory practice. He was included in the TOP-100 best lawyers of Ukraine in 2021 according to the rating of "Yuridichna Gazeta".
Oleksandr holds a master's degree in law from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, graduated from the Swedish Institute's management program and is a graduate of the Ukrainian School of Political Studies.
