MORIS launches a hotline within the project "Corruption-Free Land"
MORIS, General Partner of the UBA, announces the start of a partnership with USAID Agriculture Growing Rural Opportunities Activity in Ukraine (AGRO) as part of the Project “Corruption-Free Land”.
The Project aims to mitigate the incidence of corruption and raider attacks in the land market, decrease corruption in land relations both on the national and regional/local levels as well as raise the public awareness regarding the issues of corruption and raider attacks.
Based on the 2024 research results and sharing the common goal of implementing an effective anti-corruption strategy in land relations, MORIS, with the support of USAID Agriculture Growing Rural Opportunities Activity in Ukraine (AGRO), implemented by Chemonics International, is launching the joint Project “Corruption-Free Land”.
The Project’s implementation will:
- provide assistance to participants in land relations in resolving their specific issues related to corruption or raiding threats;
- increase overall legal awareness and contribute to the combating against corruption and raiding, while reducing public tolerance towards these phenomena.
- improve the professionalism of government representatives.
- in the medium term, help to reduce corruption issues in land relations.
At the Project’s outset, MORIS is announcing the start of consultations aimed at providing legal assistance to landowners, farmers, and entrepreneurs who have already faced corruption in the land sector, as well as enhancing their legal awareness to help them avoid such risks independently.
Consultations will be provided by MORIS leading associates and attorneys-at-law with extensive experience in resolving land issues and disputes. MORIS experts will provide assistance in land relations matters, where corruption and raiding risks might be involved, which are related to registering ownership or use rights for land plots, changing the land’s designated use, obtaining (assigning) a cadastral number to a land plot, land privatization, land auctions, including auctions within the framework of the “Land Bank”, developing land management technical documentation to establish (restore) land boundaries on-site etc.
Consultations will be provided in both oral and written forms. For oral consultations, the Project’s “Corruption-Free Land” hotline is available at +38 044 334 82 10. For written consultations, requests can be sent to agro@moris.law.
