The UBA Students’ League held the 13th Public Activities Camp

On March 24-26, the Ukrainian Bar Association Students’ League held the 13th Public Activities Camp in Lviv. The event program included training with speakers, Elevator speech, working in teams with mentors on projects and their presentation.

On the first day of the event, participants were registered and divided into five teams: Event management, PR and promotion, Government relations, Internal development, External relations. Later, the youths gathered in the session hall of the Lviv City Council, where they listened to the speeches of the speakers. Andrii Bunyak, an artist from Lviv, talked about success stories. Viktoriia Pitel, a business coach with international certification, a strategist for personal development and income growth, a mentor for sales through a personal brand, revealed the topic "How to find something that can be monetized" in her speech. And Yuliya Vizna, event manager of the "!FESTrepublic" territory of the "!FEST" holding of emotions, spoke about the principles of a successful event.

On the second day, Camp participants gathered again for training at the Lviv City Council. Mykola Apetyk, project manager of the Sheptytsky Hospital Charitable Foundation, a grant writer with experience in fundraising more than $80,000 for social projects, presented the basics of writing grant applications. Oksana Robak, trainer in public speaking, specialist in the DISC behavioral model, mentor in public speaking, dedicated her speech to the topic "Conversations with a business partner".

Maria Pigura, head of the "Lviv — Youth Capital of Europe 2025" Office, manager of the network of youth spaces “TVORY!” ("CREATE!"), spoke about the benefits of public activity. And Iryna Pavlenko, member of the Council of the UBA Committee on International Trade Law, Chairwoman of the Association's Regional Branch in the Lviv region, First Chair Legal partner, shared her experience of working in a team.

In addition, the participants of the Camp tried themselves in the Elevator speech, when each had to introduce himself to the opponent in one and a half minutes. Elevator speech was given by:

  • Taras Bachynskyi, investor, advisor and owner of the BK Investments company, lawyer, owner of the largest law firm in western Ukraine "Bachynskyi and Partners", founder of the legal educational platform Online Law School;
  • Irena Naida, lawyer, partner and head of one of the departments in "BK Partners" law firm;
  • Dmytro Shvets, lawyer, human rights defender, ELAW law firm partner, associate professor of the Department of Social Law of the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, co-founder of the NGO "Ukrainian Center for Social and Legal Research";
  • Andrii Udovichenko, Workflow designer at Bot&Partners, researcher of tools for better work, provides assistance and consultations in the field of international business building.

Also on that day, the teams got to know their mentors and spent the entire evening working together on creating projects.

The third day of the Camp began with the presentation of their projects by the teams in the assembly hall of the Lviv Polytechnic National University. The Students’ League Board team listened to all five teams and scored them basing on eight main criteria. The winners were determined by the sum of points.

During the ceremonial part of the event in Sova Space, the first and second place teams were awarded and the Camp was closed.
