The UBA Committee held the event «The State of REMIT Implementation in Ukraine: Current Regulation and Future Requirements»

On December 3, 2024, an online event organized by the UBA Committee on Energy, Oil, and Gas took place. The event focused on the implementation of the REMIT regulation in Ukraine. The discussion topic was: «The State of REMIT Implementation in Ukraine: Current Regulation and Future Requirements»

The event was moderated by Ivan Bondarchuk, Chair of the UBA Committee on Energy, Oil, and Gas, partner at LCF Law Group, and head of the Energy and Projects practice.

  • Current regulation to prevent market abuse in the electricity and natural gas markets, including future reporting and notification requirements.
  • Key legislative requirements for preventing market abuse by market participants, in line with the regulator's secondary legislation, as well as practical case studies and the regulator’s perspective.
  • An analysis of the requirements and risks for market participants in the electricity and natural gas sectors regarding the prevention of market abuse.
  • International experience and the latest trends in regulating market abuse prevention in energy markets, including practical cases of REMIT regulation application in Europe.
