Ukrainian Bar Association urges the entire legal community worldwide to stop the war of aggression against Ukraine and its people and to protect the rule of law. To this end, the UBA calls to sign a Petition on the protection of the rule of law and human rights.

The petition states that the undersigned, lawyers, barristers, solicitors, judges, public lawyers, legal practitioners and bar association leaders from all over the world stand united and condemn the war and aggression against Ukraine, its democratically elected institutions and civil society.

The petition primarily urges lawyers to:

• join the legal community worldwide in condemnation of the war and aggression against Ukraine;
• agree that the war against Ukraine is a flagrant, unacceptable and non-justifiable breach of the Charter of the United Nations, and of the rule of law;
• urge the leadership of the Russian Federation to immediately stop the war against Ukraine;
• support establishment of the Special Tribunal for prosecution of the crime of aggression against Ukraine by the leadership of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, and their supporters.
