UBA has started a dialogue on freedom of belief and expression of lawyers' opinions
Mykola Stetsenko, President of the Ukrainian Bar Association, and members of the UBA Board took part in a meeting of the Bar Council of Ukraine, which took place online on February 8, 2024.
During the meeting, Mykola Stetsenko emphasized that one of the Association's main activities is to promote the development of the rule of law in Ukraine. In turn, one of the elements of the rule of law is the independent Bar of Ukraine, which is designed, among other things, to ensure compliance with the guarantees of the practice of law and the protection of the professional rights of lawyers.
Considering the principle of transparency as one of the pillars of bar self-government, Mykola Stetsenko expressed his hope for the beginning of an open dialogue and cooperation between the Ukrainian National Bar Association, attorneys, and the public.
The Ukrainian Bar Association is always ready to contribute to the formation of best practices for developing the Bar to improve the quality and efficiency of legal services and build a state governed by the rule of law.
