UBA joins a new international project to protect victims’ rights

The Ukrainian Bar Association has become a partner in a four-year international project, "Protecting Victim Rights through Judicial Accountability in Ukraine", aimed at strengthening the protection of victims' rights and enhancing judicial accountability in Ukraine. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands under the Matra G2G Programme (2025–2029) and coordinated by the Netherlands Helsinki Committee.

The project includes training for judges, prosecutors, and legal professionals, the development of practical guidelines, pilot support for the Victim and Witness Coordination Centre, as well as a public awareness campaign on victims’ rights with a special focus on frontline areas.

“Behind every court case stands a person — often with a difficult, but important story. Together with our partners, we are working to ensure these individuals feel supported, have a voice, and can contribute to shaping a more responsive justice system,” said Kateryna Pyshchyk, Project Management Advisor at the UBA.

More about the project is available in the Projects section on the UBA website.
