Presentation of the White Paper «Russian war crimes against Ukraine: the breach of international humanitarian law by the Russian Federation». June 10, 2022

The Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA), jointly with the Global Accountability Network Ukraine Task Force (GAN UTF), the New York State Bar Association’s International Section (NYSBA International) and its Ukraine Task Force, and the EU Project Pravo-Justice, invite you to a presentation of the GAN UTF White Paper which covers war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Russian Federation.

The white paper regarding Russian War Crimes put together by the GAN UTF is a practical initial assessment and guide during the first 4 weeks of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. It is a practical guide for practitioners, diplomats, and academic to help frame the discussion regarding Russian international crimes in Ukraine. The white paper is a working document and will be updated and published on a regular basis throughout the conflict.

In its conclusion, the White Paper calls upon the international community to respond by using the available international accountability mechanisms for holding high-level political and military leadership of the aggressor country responsible.
