UBA Committee Drew Proposals to Improve Antitrust Law


KYIV - April 15, 2020. The UBA Committee on Competition Law sent an open appeal to the Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development Dmytro Natalus with proposals to improve the draft Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Competition and Antitrust Reform" №2730-2.

The Committee's experts analyzed the document in detail and prepared a series of proposals on 166 pages. At the same time, they noted the positive assessment of the goals of the proposed amendments to the draft law, emphasizing that its adoption could have a significant impact on the effectiveness of the system of protection of economic competition in Ukraine.

"These proposals are aimed at increasing the effectiveness of legal regulation in this area of ​​public relations," – a statement reads. The Committee requests that they be considered, if possible at the invitation of a UBA representative, and taken into account when finalizing the draft law.
