KYIV - April 19, 2018. At the initiative of the Social Initiative Committee of the UBA League of Students in cooperation with the Institute for Democracy and Development "Polita", a long-awaited meeting with the newly elected Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Stanislav Shevchuk took place.
Mr. Stanislav spoke not only about the work of the Constitutional Court, but also shared his own life rules. The issues of reorganization and development of the Ukrainian judicial system, constitutional complaints, the rule of law and independence of the Constitutional Court were the key topics of the event.
In addition, Stanislav Volodymyrovych shared interesting stories about education in Ukraine and the United States, work at the UN and the EU institutions.
The meeting was very busy and lively, organized in a question-answer format, which allowed the visitors to have a direct dialogue with the judge. Participants had the "Support", "Questionable" and "Against" signatures and thus could express their own position on a particular problem. Among the 160 participants of the event there were law students, young and experienced practitioners, political scientists, journalists, public activists and other guests interested in the work of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
It is extremely enjoyable that this is already the second event of the Social Initiative Committee of the Public Awareness with Stanislav Shevchuk. For the first time law faculty students had the opportunity to listen to his speech at the Second All-Ukrainian School of the Future MPs.
After the event, Oleksiy Boris, chairman of the Social Initiative Committee of the UBA League of Students, gave an interview to the national TV channels of the country - "Inter" and "112", and talked about the activities of the UBA Leagues of Students, as well as the importance of organizing such events for the development of Ukrainian society.
The organizing team is very grateful for the interesting and busy event, indicating the need for further meetings with the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Stanislav Shevchuk.
